Bahrain – November 2023 – Tech education provider General Assembly is pleased to announce a series of panel discussions, workshops, and inspirational stories to mark this year’s Bahraini Women’s Day.
Held under the theme of “How We Got There – Celebrating Bahraini Women”, the sessions will highlight the accomplishments of Bahraini women across various domains, with a particular focus on the tech industry. While these sessions aim to empower and inspire women, it is important to acknowledge that the scope of these challenges often extends beyond gender. As such, participation of individuals from both genders is encouraged, as the discourse will encompass universal professional obstacles, thus providing valuable insights to a diverse audience.
Three panel discussions will be held on December 3, December 10 and December 24. They will feature accomplished and influential women working in the tech industry and span a diverse range of topics designed to provide insights, inspiration, and strategies for success. They will seek to alleviate the doubts and uncertainties that people often encounter as they journey into the tech industry. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn from these inspirational figures and gain valuable advice for their own unique journeys. The discussions will also shed light on future job prospects and emerging market trends within the technology sector, emphasizing the importance of technology in our daily lives and careers.
Complimenting the panel discussions, interactive, expert-led workshops will be conducted on December 6, December 20 and December 27. The workshops will equip participants with foundational skills and knowledge in software engineering, data analytics, and user experience (UX). By providing a supportive and interactive learning environment, General Assembly aims to empower everyone with the confidence and capabilities to thrive in the tech industry.
