Dubai, UAE: The Confederation of Danish Industry (DI), Denmark’s largest and most influential business and employers’ organization, is gearing up to play a pivotal role in shaping the global sustainability agenda at the upcoming COP28, along with the organization State of Green. With a commitment to fostering a clean and carbon-neutral society, DI is championing innovative solutions that transcend traditional industry boundaries.
In a recent interview with IRIS MEDIA , Mrs. Anne Hojer, the Confederation of Danish Industry’s Director for Green Transition, highlighted the need for innovative solutions and financial support to accelerate the transition to a sustainable future. She stated, “We need to carefully consider the transportation sector and agriculture, encouraging them to take steps to reduce their emissions. However, we should also consider the tools and resources available. It’s important to recognize that a degree of financial support is necessary as the transition needs to progress at a pace that surpasses what the market can naturally sustain.”
As the Confederation of Danish Industry takes its sustainable vision to the international stage at COP28, its dedication to a cleaner and carbon-neutral society remains unwavering. Mrs. Hojer concluded, “I believe that a strong society and companies go hand in hand, and together, they can achieve the ambitious goals necessary to combat climate change and secure a sustainable future for all.”
The Confederation of Danish Industry and the Trade Council of Denmark will also be present at the trade show Gulfood Manufacturing at Dubai World Trade Centre, November 7-9, 2023. The Pavilion of Denmark offers the opportunity to experience sustainable and innovative solutions from about 15 companies. DI participates every year in the Gulfood exhibition with around 25 companies offering innovative, quality, and safe food & beverage products.
