Dubai, UAE – October 2022: 42 Abu Dhabi, the UAE capital’s innovative and disruptive coding school, concluded its successful participation at GITEX Global 2022, which took place at the Dubai World Trade Centre from 10th to 14th October.
The event was an opportunity for 42 Abu Dhabi to highlight its revolutionary coding program, its students’ success stories and how it has made coding accessible to people from diverse backgrounds and skillsets. Through its participation, 42 Abu Dhabi showcased its unique learning methodology that cultivates collaboration through peer-to-peer, project-based learning, allowing students to be prepared to be key contributors in real-world projects.
With more than 300 students at 42 Abu Dhabi school today, coming from 47diverse nationalities and including 90Emirati students, 42 Abu Dhabi has evolved to be a talent incubator in the emirate, fostering a culture of entrepreneurship and driving the future of the industry in Abu Dhabi.
Marcos Muller Habig, Acting CEO of 42 Abu Dhabi, said: “GITEX GLOBAL was an opportunity for us to highlight the remarkable successes and achievements that 42 Abu Dhabi has accomplished in empowering learners to shape the digital future of Abu Dhabi by making coding education accessible to people from all walks of life. Our participation enabled us to expand 42 Abu Dhabi’s reach and connect with tech enthusiasts and revolutionary innovators from across the globe.”
“42 Abu Dhabi’s participation under the umbrella of the Abu Dhabi government pavilion during GITEX GLOBAL came within the framework of its efforts to support the digital transformation of the Emirate by building a digitally aware and technology-driven generation of future coders.” He added.
During the event, 42 Abu Dhabi’s coding star Abubaker Alseri received an award for “Best Idea and MVP” for his project “PAYCE”. The award came as part of his participation in the FutureHack Hackathon, hosted by Global DevSlam and held by FutureLab in collaboration with Hackmasters, where the world’s top 200 developers will compete.
Another one of 42 Abu Dhabi’s students, Ihab Hormi, was awarded “The Most Creative Concept” for his “ZeamFinance” project. The HackMasters prize included an all expenses paid trip to HackMasters London.
42 Abu Dhabi is an innovative and disruptive coding school, launched in 2020 as an initiative of the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) and Abu Dhabi’s Ghadan 21 accelerator program, which aims to drive Abu Dhabi’s ongoing development through multi-faceted investments in business, innovation and people.
